The similiarity to other languages: It comes from Latin, which would also give you a chance to understand some French and Italian. Also, its Latin roots give you an opportunity to understand a lot of medical and scientific terminology.
Spanish is spoken in many other countries: Different from languages like Italian, Spanish is spoken in many countries by over 300 million people. This fact will give you the advantage of traveling around the world without getting lost!
Work Opportunities: Statistics show that the number of Hispanic people in the state of Connecticut is 11.2% and 14% in the country. Most importantly, in Hartford County, the number of Hispanic people exceeds the 40%. Employers often seek applicants who speak more than one language, particularly Spanish.
